American Corner Constanta Volunteer 2023-2024
My time at the American Corner was quite an experience. Beyond the books, the people, and the amazing programs, I had the chance to see firsthand how everything comes to life for each program. During my year of volunteering, I gained experience across a wide spectrum of activities. The Corner quickly transformed from a place to read into a space where I could create, share, and promote.
Associate Professor, Ovidius University of Constanta, Faculty of Letters
Since 2008, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with American Corner Constanta, delivering over 120 programs on a wide range of topics centered around American culture and civilization. Through these sessions, I’ve had the rewarding experience of engaging with students from Ovidius University of Constanta and high school students from across Constanta County.
Fulbright ETA 2023-2025, Ovidius University of Constanta
The American Corner has been an oasis throughout my time in Constanța, offering a quiet place to work and a wealth of books and resources that I have used in my teaching. Hosting activities at the American Corner has been one of my greatest joys, as it has enabled me to interact with engaging, enthusiastic students whom I otherwise would not have had the chance to meet.
Junior Lecturer, Ovidius University of Constanta, Faculty of Letters
I’m thrilled to share how inspiring it has been to lead workshops organized at American Corner Constanța. American Corner plays a vital role in educating and empowering our youth by creating a space where young minds can discover the richness of American literature and its cultural diversity, strengthen media literacy skills and critical thinking.
Student, Faculty of Economics, Public Administration
Hi! My name is Vivi, and reflecting on my experience at the American Corner over the last two years, I can say it has been one of the most beautiful and best choices I've made. It’s the place where I learned so much about American culture, met wonderful people who share my interests, and a place I would return to every time with love—it truly feels like home.
